About:
Barb spent her early years in Mundulla, where her family were farmers. She attended Mundulla Primary School and Bordertown High School before moving to Adelaide in 1975 to study at Muirden College - Secretarial Branch. Barb spent 10 years working in secretarial roles with an Adelaide accounting firm before transitioning to accounting and income tax work in 1985.
While working full-time, Barb studied part-time and completed a Bachelor of Accounting at the University of South Australia in 1997. She went on to become a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
After 24 years in Adelaide, Barb decided to move back to the South-East to be closer to family. She was delighted to join Murray Nankivell in Naracoorte at the end of 1998. Barb works with a diverse range of clients, including those in farming and other businesses, providing expertise in taxation, GST and more, and currently audits self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).
Outside of work, Barb is actively involved in her community. She is a member of the Mundulla Football Club and is an organist of the Mundulla and Buckingham Uniting congregations and the Naracoorte Anglican Church. Barb also leads the St Paul’s Singers.
In her spare time, Barb enjoys reading, music, movies and participating in quiz nights. A passionate sports spectator, she enjoys following Test and One-Day International Cricket and international tennis. Above all, Barb loves watching the Mundulla boys and girls play football.
